Amy Keefover-Hicks, APRN, RNP-C

Amy Keefover-Hicks is a Family Nurse Practitioner who has been working in pediatric orthopedic surgery for 3 years. She received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing and Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Texas at Austin (Hook ‘Em). Amy completed her Post-master’s Certification in Family Nurse Practitioner from Texas Woman’s University. Her nursing career has focused on caring for pediatric patient’s and upon completing her Nurse Practitioner certification, her passion to work with this population continued combining a unique opportunity to specialize in orthopedic injuries.

Amy practices with Dr. Shyam Kishan, evaluating and treating all pediatric orthopedic conditions. She is also the Fracture Care Clinic Director, specializing in diagnosing and treating pediatric fractures. She holds certification as a nursing first assist in the operating room and enjoys caring for patients in the clinic setting as well. Amy has been involved with a variety of research publications, focusing on clinical education, including nursing-based research.

Amy was born in Kansas and came to Texas as fast as she could. She is a very proud wife of a Texas High School Football Coach and Mother of 2 children.
